Promotions in Google Merchant Center offer a powerful way to present your online offers across multiple Google properties, including Google search, the Shopping tab, Chrome and many others. By adding promotions to the products you sell on Google, you can increase their attractiveness. A “special offer” link is displayed next to your products (e.g., “15% off”, “free delivery”, etc.), which can encourage Internet users to make a purchase. Note that these promotions do not affect cost-per-click (CPC) rates.
To take advantage of these benefits, you need to have an active product feed in Google Merchant Center. Once you’ve activated promotions, you can create several types, which will then be examined by Google’s teams.
Note: The number of current promotions is no longer limited. The previous limit of 500 has been removed.
In addition, if you have a Shopify or WooCommerce account, you can link your discounts on these platforms to your Merchant Center account to broadcast promotions for your products on Google. By using this feature, you won’t need to create promotions via your Merchant Center account.
